Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about Story Time Yoga

What should my child wear to class?

Comfortable, stretchy clothing is best! Think leggings, sweatpants, t-shirts, or any outfit they can move freely in. No special yoga clothes required. For younger children, layers are recommended as their body temperature may change during active and quiet moments.

Do I need to stay for the Independent Kids class?

Yes, we require a parent or caregiver to remain on premises during all classes. We have a comfortable waiting area where you can relax, catch up on emails, or even join our "Mom's Corner" chat group with other parents. Many moms use this as valuable "me time" while still being available if needed.

What if my child doesn't want to participate?

That's completely normal and okay! We create a pressure-free environment where children are invited—not required—to participate. Some children prefer to observe first before joining in. Our instructors are experienced in gently encouraging participation without forcing it. Many shy or reluctant children end up fully engaged by the end of their first month!

How do I know which age group is right for my child?

While we provide age guidelines, development varies among children. If your child is almost 5 but would feel more comfortable in the Caregiver & Me class, that's perfectly fine. Similarly, a mature 4-year-old might be ready for the Independent class. We're happy to discuss your child's specific needs and can recommend the best fit. You're also welcome to try both before committing to a monthly package.
